Laser regeneration
for industry.

Laser cladding rapidly restores worn or damaged areas, returning geometry and functionality with minimal heat impact on the base material.

Scope

Technology selected
for a specific goal.

01

What we repair

We restore chipped edges, cavity surfaces, cores, inserts, slides and polished or textured areas. We also correct date stamps, markings and engravings.

02

How the process works

An optically focused laser beam melts the metal surface and the welding wire selected to match the mold material. A series of short pulses bonds the deposited material with the base material. The small heat-affected zone minimizes the risk of distortion.

03

Materials

We work with structural and tool steels, cold- and hot-work steels, aluminum, copper alloys, beryllium bronze, and selected nickel alloys.

In practice

The scope of work may include:

  • repair of mould and die edges
  • restoration of forming cavity surfaces
  • regeneration after operational wear
  • modification of forming geometries
  • repair of polished and textured surfaces
