Optical scanning
and measurements.
We provide fast, non-contact inspection of components and tools using 3D optical scanning. We analyze geometry and surfaces, create 3D models, and create deviation maps, supporting the acceptance of new molds and the diagnostics of existing tools.
Scope
Technology selected
for a specific goal.
DFM analysis
We verify the 3D geometry of the molded part for injection molding technology. We analyze wall thicknesses, process drafts, and potential undercuts, eliminating the risk of design errors and optimizing mold production costs.
Injection simulation
Advanced computer-aided injection simulation allows us to precisely select injection points, optimize the cooling system, and predict material behavior (weld lines, trapped air, shrinkage, and deformation) before tool production begins.
Metrology and Quality Control
Control of new moulds
We confirm that the finished tool is consistent with the technical documentation, CAD model, and the specific requirements of the customer's production process.
Tool and mold diagnostics
We assess the technical condition, degree of wear and tear and identify the real causes of production problems, supporting decisions on modernization or regeneration of the mold.
Deviation reporting
Precise analysis of dimensional and geometric deviations allows for the rapid detection of the risk of injection defects and allows for the selection of optimal corrective actions.
Microscopic inspection
We use advanced digital microscopes to thoroughly evaluate forming surfaces, edges, and miniature components, precisely documenting any discrepancies.
In practice
The scope of work may include:
- measurements of molds and tool elements
- checking compliance with CAD documentation
- analysis of dimensional deviations
- comparison of the element with the 3D model
- inspection of surfaces and details with a digital microscope
- assessment of the technical condition of the moulds
