In practice
The scope of work may include:
- EDM machining, milling, grinding and polishing necessary to carry out the modification
- production of new inserts, cores and spare parts in accordance with the documentation or based on existing components
- adding holes, pockets and connections required by the modified design
- reconstruction of the parting surfaces and local forming surfaces in accordance with the new detail geometry
- carrying out mold tests and verifying the effect of changes before restarting the tool in production
- fitting and assembly of new components along with checking their proper operation
